Short Story White Rum comes from Third Eye Distillery, part of a small craft portfolio that also includes a London Dry gin and a charcoal-filtered vodka. It won a Silver medal at the London Spirits Competition for its smooth, grassy, herbaceous aromas and flavours in a light-bodied rum, distinct from the sweeter, more tropical character some white rums lean on. Alongside that grassy note, expect sugarcane, coconut and pineapple on the nose with hints of vanilla and banana, and a smooth, tropical palate with subtle sweetness on the way to a crisp finish. It’s built for classic cocktails, a Mojito or Daiquiri especially, where its lighter, grassier profile stands out from a standard white rum.
