Samsara Filter Coffee & Hazelnut is part of Samsara’s Secret Orchard series, launched by Spaceman Spirits Lab in September 2022 as one of the original three seasonal flavours alongside Grapefruit & Rose and Lemon & Elderflower. It’s built on the brand’s core botanicals, then infused with coffee and hazelnut, giving it, in the brand’s own words, “a surprisingly Indian personality” against the filter-coffee tradition. Bottled at 37% ABV and designed as a sipping gin rather than strictly a mixer.
CHARACTER
Hazelnut: toasted hazelnuts on the nose and finish
Coffee: fresh coffee, the dominant palate note
Chocolate: shaved chocolate on the nose
Vanilla: vanilla bean on the nose and finish
Cardamom: warm spice on the palate
TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Nostalgic aroma of toasted hazelnuts and fresh coffee with underlying notes of shaved chocolate and vanilla bean.
PALATE- Smooth and rich with dominant notes of fresh coffee and toasted nuts, faint juniper and mild citrus undertones, with coriander and cardamom accentuating the coffee.
FINISH- Long lasting, with a lingering nutty aroma and mellow notes of vanilla.
