Samsara Deccan Grapefruit and Rose is part of Samsara’s Secret Orchard series, launched by Spaceman Spirits Lab in September 2022 as one of the original three seasonal flavours alongside Lemon & Elderflower and Coffee & Hazelnut. It’s built on the brand’s core 11 botanicals, then infused with fresh Himalayan grapefruit and rose petals, bottled at 37% ABV and designed as a sipping gin rather than strictly a mixer.
CHARACTER
Grapefruit: the dominant note throughout
Cardamom: warm spice on the nose
Orange Peel: bright citrus on the nose
Juniper: crisp aroma on the nose and palate
Rose: floral pepperiness on the palate and finish
TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Zesty grapefruit with a slight hint of cardamom and orange, sitting atop a crisp aroma of juniper.
PALATE- Grapefruit and subtle juniper early, turning sweet and tart with hints of citrus oil, with a gentle pepperiness suggestive of vetiver and rose petals.
FINISH- Moderately long, with sweet citrus and peppery rose.
