Jameson
Jameson is triple distilled at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork, a step beyond the double distillation typical of Scotch and American whiskey that gives it its trademark light, clean character. It’s a blend of pot still and grain Irish whiskeys, with a nose of light florals and spicy wood, and a palate built on vanilla cream and toffee sweetness with lightly toasted grain and a soft fruit note underneath. That smoothness is why it works as well over ice as it does in a Jameson and ginger ale or an Irish coffee, an easy-drinking whiskey built for mixing as much as sipping.
