Glenmorangie 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that spends its first 15 years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. About 30% of the whisky is then moved into Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for a further three years before the two parts are blended back together at 18 years old. It’s bottled at 43% ABV and sits above Glenmorangie’s core range as one of the distillery’s older, sherry influenced expressions. The extended maturation and sherry cask finish give it more weight and dried fruit character than Glenmorangie’s younger malts.
