Clase Azul Plata is the unaged (blanco) expression in Clase Azul’s ultra-premium tequila range, distilled at NOM 1595 (Casa Tradición) in Jesús María, one of the highest points in the Los Altos (highlands) region of Jalisco, under master distiller Viridiana Tinoco. It’s made from 100% Blue Weber agave, cooked whole in traditional stone ovens for 72 hours, then extracted by roller mill, fermented with the brand’s own proprietary yeast strain in stainless steel, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. Unlike Clase Azul’s aged expressions, Plata spends no time in barrel, a deliberate choice that lets the nuanced, fresh flavor of the agave come through, and it ships in a clear glass decanter rather than the hand-painted ceramic bottles used for the brand’s aged lines.
