Lembranca
Lembrança means “memory” in Portuguese, and this premium cashew feni comes from Madame Rosa Distillery in Goa, established in 1933, one of the older continuously operating feni houses in the state. Cashew feni is distilled from fermented cashew apple juice, double-distilled in the traditional Goan method that’s changed little across generations, and carries a Geographical Indication tag as a speciality alcoholic beverage of the state. With nearly a century of history behind it, Lembrança leans into feni’s role as part of Goa’s cultural memory as much as its drink culture. Purists drink it neat; the more common way in is with a splash of lemon-lime soda and a wedge of lime.
