Amrut Fusion pioneered the fusion of Indian and Scottish barley when it launched in 2009, blending malt distilled from Indian barley with a portion matured from peated Scottish malt, married and bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration. Matured in Bangalore’s tropical heat, it earned international recognition early, including a top-three ranking from whisky writer Jim Murray, and remains the single malt that put Amrut and Indian whisky on the global map.

Peat: soft smoke and warming peat throughout
Cask: thickly oaked
Chocolate: intense chocolate fudge and dark chocolate on the palate

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Heavy, thickly oaked and complex, with curious barley-sugar notes shrouded in soft smoke, rich fruit, citrus, spice and a hint of peat with vanilla and brown sugar.
PALATE- Controlled delivery that explodes with warming peat and unexpected fruity notes, building to an intense chocolate fudge middle, oaky and rich with coffee and dark chocolate.
FINISH- Dry peat and oak with enough molassed sweetness to see it through, long, spiced and lingering with marmalade sweetness.
