Amrut Little Greedy Angels is an 8 year old single malt from Amrut Distilleries in Bangalore, made with peated barley and matured in Oloroso sherry casks. India’s warm climate drives a far faster maturation and a much steeper angel’s share than Scotland, so eight years here carries the depth usually associated with whisky twice its age. It was the first single malt Amrut peated in-house, and the sherry cask influence sits alongside a light smokiness rather than dominating it.
