Woodburns
Woodburns is a contemporary Indian whisky made entirely from Indian ingredients, with no Scotch or foreign malt in the blend, aged in matured oak barrels. The nose is sweet and peaty, with mild woodsmoke, vanilla and dark chocolate notes underneath, unusual for an Indian whisky in leaning toward an almost Islay-style smokiness, and a rich, sweet palate that lingers into a smooth finish. It’s built to be distinctly different from the usual Indian blended whisky, worth trying specifically for that smokier, more contemporary character.
