Stolichnaya Elit is Stoli’s ultra-premium tier, made from Russian Alpha Spirit, the highest grade of spirit recognised by Russian authorities, distilled from winter wheat and filtered through quartz sand, Siberian birch charcoal and cloth filters. What sets it apart from standard Stolichnaya is an additional freeze filtration step: the spirit is flash-chilled to sub-zero temperatures and passed through ion-charged filters before resting for two to three days ahead of bottling. It was launched in the US market in 2004.
CHARACTER
Mineral: clean and minerally on the nose
Vanilla: a soft note on the nose
Black Pepper: cracked black pepper across nose, palate and finish
Star Anise: faint aniseed on the palate and finish
Cream: an almost creamy mouthfeel on the palate
Wheat: the winter wheat base coming through as a grainy character on the palate
TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Clean and minerally, with faint charcoal, vanilla and cracked black pepper.
PALATE- Superbly clean with an almost creamy mouthfeel, grainy and charcoal-influenced, with black pepper and faint aniseed.
FINISH- Charcoal and cracked black pepper, with a faint trace of aniseed.
