Russian Standard Platinum is made from the same base as the standard Russian Standard expression, hardy winter wheat grown on Russia’s Black Steppes and soft glacial water from Lake Ladoga in Russia’s north. What sets Platinum apart is what happens after that: the spirit goes through multiple distillations and quadruple charcoal filtration, then a proprietary silver filtration system on top of that, before being rested for 48 hours ahead of bottling. That extra silver filtration stage is the brand’s stated point of difference for this tier, aimed at added smoothness and purity over the standard bottling.
