Picante House:Pour
Picante-style liqueurs and cocktails take their name from the Spanish word for “spicy,” built around the same core idea popularised by the classic Picante de la Casa cocktail: chilli heat balanced against citrus and a touch of sweetness. Fresh chilli or chilli syrup provides the kick, typically paired with lime, agave-style sweetness and sometimes coriander for a herbaceous edge. It’s designed to be sipped as a shot or built into a spicy margarita-style cocktail, chilled or over ice, the heat arriving after an initial citrus-forward sweetness rather than upfront.
