Pèppoli Chianti Classico comes from Antinori’s Pèppoli estate in the Chianti Classico heartland, a Sangiovese-led wine built to be an approachable, everyday expression of the appellation rather than a Riserva-tier bottling. Antinori acquired the Pèppoli estate in 1985, and the wine typically carries a small amount of Merlot for softness alongside the dominant Sangiovese. It’s designed for early, easy drinking, representing the Chianti Classico territory’s classic floral and fruity character.
