Paul John Oloroso Select Cask is an unpeated Indian single malt from Goa, finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV and carries no age statement, though it is generally understood to be around seven years old. Goa’s hot, humid climate matures whisky far faster than Scotland’s, roughly three times as fast, so the sherry influence and spice here come through with more intensity than the cask time alone would suggest.

Chocolate: dark chocolate through palate and finish
Clove: warm spice on the palate
Almond: almond oil lingers into the finish

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Mandarin orange and ripe peach lead, with dried flowers, cocoa and a touch of fig.
PALATE- Clove, white pepper and cardamom spice sit alongside dark chocolate and mandarin orange.
FINISH- Long and dry, with lingering spice, dark chocolate and almond oil.
