About THis Bottle

Old Monk Gold Reserve carries a 12-year age statement, a notch above the standard Old Monk bottle, with a deeper oak influence and a richer, more mature character to show for the extra ageing. It carries notes of caramel, chocolate, ripe peach and a hint of vanilla, resulting in a rounded harmony of flavours, while the palate turns spicier, with cinnamon, clove and dark chocolate coming through more clearly than in the base rum. Banana and tropical fruit round out the nose alongside the caramel. It’s built for sipping over ice as much as mixing, the extra age meaning it holds its own better neat than the standard Old Monk does.
