McDowell’s No.1 750 ml
McDowell’s No.1 traces back to a distillery the UB Group established in Cherthala, Kerala in 1959, with the whisky itself launching in 1968. The nose carries barley sugar, soft fruits and a chocolate-vanilla note with a spicy, woody edge, alongside medicinal and citrus notes with tangerine peel, opening into a soft, rounded palate of chocolate, caramel and butterscotch. It’s one of the longest-running names in Indian whisky, built as a widely available everyday blend rather than a connoisseur’s pour.
