Loca Loka Reposado is aged four to six months in a combination of newly charred French and American oak, a deliberate departure from the used whiskey or bourbon barrels most reposado tequilas rely on. It’s made from highland agave matured at least six years, hand-picked and slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens at Hacienda El Mexicano, a family-owned distillery producing tequila for over 60 years. Loca Loka was founded in 2024 by Tollywood actor Rana Daggubati, composer Anirudh Ravichander and entrepreneur Harsha Vadlamudi, its name fusing the Spanish “loca” (crazy) with the Sanskrit “loka” (world) as an explicit India-Mexico crossover; the Reposado won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
