Hennessy V.S.O.P is a Cognac from the Hennessy house in Cognac, France, aged a minimum of four years to meet the V.S.O.P, Very Superior Old Pale, classification. Hennessy itself created the first V.S.O.P Cognac in 1818 at the request of the future King George IV of England, and this expression carries that name forward today. It suits someone who wants a step up from a VS Cognac with real depth, whether neat, on ice or in a classic Cognac cocktail.
