Gran Centenario Leyenda is Gran Centenario’s top-tier Extra Añejo, made from 100% Blue Weber agave at Ex-Hacienda Los Camichines in the Jalisco Highlands, the same estate where Lázaro Gallardo began crafting tequila in 1857. The current bottling, released from October 2019, is aged around four years in new American oak and then blended with older tequila reserves through the house’s Selección Suave process. This puts Leyenda well beyond the standard Gran Centenario Añejo, aged around 16 months in new American oak, and further still beyond the lightly rested Reposado.
