Erdinger Weissbier is a Bavarian wheat beer from Erding, Germany, brewed to a recipe going back to 1886 and following the Bavarian Purity Law. It uses the brewery’s own proprietary yeast strain and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, the Bayerische Edelreifung double maturity method, before release. Bottled at 5.3% ABV, it suits anyone who wants a genuine German Hefeweizen rather than a wheat beer brewed elsewhere in that style.
