Royal Salute was created in 1953 by Chivas Brothers to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and its 21 year age statement was chosen to echo the 21 gun salute given to visiting heads of state. The Signature Blend brings together malt and grain Scotch whiskies aged a minimum of 21 years, bottled at 40% ABV in the brand’s sapphire blue ceramic flagon. It sits at the top of Chivas Brothers’ portfolio, aimed at someone who wants a blend with real age and depth rather than an entry level Scotch. Expect a rounder, more layered dram than a standard blend, with fruit, spice and a trace of smoke running through it.

FINISH- Long, dry and slightly spicy.
