Cazanove Curacao Triple Sec
Triple sec is a clear, orange-flavoured liqueur style that originated in France, most commonly built from a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels macerated in neutral alcohol and lightly sweetened. Genuine Curaçao-style triple sec traditionally uses the dried peel of the laraha, a bitter orange variety grown on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, though many modern triple secs use standard orange peel instead. Bottled typically between 20-40% ABV, it’s a foundational ingredient across classic cocktails, from the Margarita and Cosmopolitan to the Sidecar and Long Island Iced Tea. Style-typical character runs clean, zesty orange on the nose, moderately sweet orange flavour with a touch of bitterness and spice on the palate, and a clean citrus finish that lets it blend seamlessly into a mixed drink without overpowering the other ingredients.
