Belvedere was launched in 1996 and is widely regarded as the world’s first super premium vodka. It is made from 100% Polish Dankowskie Zlote rye, sourced from farms near the historic Polmos Zyrardow distillery, and distilled using a four column continuous still process: the rye is first converted at an agricultural distillery, then distilled three more times at Belvedere’s own facility. The vodka is named after Poland’s Presidential Palace in Warsaw, and its Polska Wodka certification means it contains no glycerin, citric acid or added sugar.
CHARACTER
Lemon: faint lemon and tangerine zest on the nose
Vanilla: hints of vanilla through the palate and finish
Almond: faint almond oil on the palate
Black Pepper: mild pepper on the palate, building to peppery spice on the finish
Cut Grass: faint grassy notes on the finish
Chocolate: faint white chocolate on the palate
TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Clean and subdued, with very faint tangerine and lemon zestiness and rye bread crust.
PALATE- Wonderfully clean and silky with a creamy mouthfeel, hints of vanilla, faint white chocolate, almond oil and mild black pepper.
FINISH- Peppery spice with faint grassy notes and cream of soda vanilla.
