Bacardi Oro Gold ages longer than Bacardi’s white rum, taking on a light golden colour and a softer oak character along the way. Bacardi’s own notes describe rich, soothing flavours of vanilla, buttery caramel and toasted almond, balanced by a warm zest of orange peel, with dry vanilla and ginger root adding a drier edge, and a light, slightly sweet oaky finish. It’s built to sit between the white rum’s clean simplicity and the deeper spice of a dark rum, smooth enough to sip on its own over ice but still versatile enough for a Piña Colada or a simple rum and cola where the vanilla and caramel come through.
