Bacardi Black is the darkest expression in the Bacardi range, aged in charred oak for a deeper colour and a bolder profile than Bacardi’s white and gold rums. It carries a toasted, nutty nose opening into a tropical, medium-bodied palate, with butterscotch, dried fruit and hazelnut alongside the charred oak, closing on a smoky, molasses finish. It’s built with more backbone than a standard white rum, holding its own neat or on ice, and works well in a Dark ‘n’ Stormy or an Old Fashioned, where its smokier character stands up to ginger beer or bitters rather than disappearing into the mix.
