Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino Extra Añejo, sold as Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino Tequila, was created to mark founder and eleventh generation tequila maker Juan Domingo “Juan Dobel” Beckmann’s 50th birthday, first released in 2017 the year he turned fifty. Unlike the brand’s original Dobel Diamante, a blend of reposado, añejo and extra añejo tequilas aged in new Balkan and Eastern European oak, Dobel 50 Cristalino is composed entirely of extra añejo tequila, aged a minimum of three years across American and Eastern European oak, then specially filtered to remove colour while keeping flavour intact. It shares Diamante’s clear, glass-like appearance but starts from an older, single-category base.
