Gran Centenario traces back to 1857, when founder Lazaro Gallardo began crafting tequila in Jalisco, Mexico; the brand later joined Casa Cuervo’s portfolio in 2006 and remains one of Mexico’s best selling tequilas. Anejo is the brand’s oldest expression, made from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged an average of 16 months in new American oak, well past the 12 month minimum required for the anejo classification. The extended aging deepens the spirit to a brilliant amber with flecks of gold and builds a rounder, spice driven profile than the brand’s blanco or reposado. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
