1800 Cristalino Anejo Tequila is produced from 100% Blue Weber agave in Jalisco, Mexico, as part of the 1800 brand within the Proximo Spirits (Jose Cuervo-linked) portfolio. It is aged 16 months in a combination of new American and French oak before a further finish in Port wine casks, then charcoal-filtered, the defining “cristalino” step that strips the barrel colour while retaining much of the flavour and texture built during aging. This puts it well past Mexico’s one-year minimum for the anejo category, and the Port-cask finish is the detail that sets this expression apart from a standard anejo.
