Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky straight bourbon made at the oldest continuously operating distillery in America, on the banks of the Kentucky River in Frankfort. It built its reputation on a sweet, approachable profile of honey, vanilla and toffee, balanced by leather and tobacco spice and a smoke note that is unusual for the category. It works as an easy entry point into bourbon at an accessible price, and just as well in a classic bourbon cocktail as it does neat.
CHARACTER
Honey: Sweetness up front on the nose
Vanilla: Soft and creamy alongside the honey

Oak: Toasted backbone under the sweetness
Orange Peel: A light citrus lift on the nose

Tobacco: Dry, savoury note alongside the leather
Smoke: An unexpected wisp, rare for a bourbon
