Dom Pérignon Brut is the house’s original prestige vintage Champagne, produced exclusively in declared vintage years from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, released only when the harvest meets founder Dom Pierre Pérignon’s own exacting standard rather than on a fixed annual schedule. Part of Moët Hennessy (LVMH) and produced at the Abbey of Hautvillers in Épernay, it set the template for prestige Champagne when first released commercially in 1936 and remains the benchmark most other prestige cuvées are measured against.
