Jose Cuervo Especial Gold, labelled Jose Cuervo Gold on Wine Palace’s shelves, is a mixto tequila, meaning it’s made from a blend of blue agave and other fermentable sugars rather than 100% agave, produced by Jose Cuervo, the world’s best selling tequila brand. Gold is a joven style tequila made by blending reposado and silver tequila, which is where its golden colour and its hints of oak and vanilla come from, rather than from extended aging of the whole batch. The brand positions it as an easy, mixable everyday tequila, most commonly reached for in margaritas and other tequila cocktails.
