Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon made at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, the oldest distilling site on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the few major bourbon producers that triple distills in copper pot stills, working from a mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley before resting in new charred oak barrels. The result is a fuller, more textured bourbon than most mass-market pours, with dried fruit, cocoa and citrus running through a rich, chewy palate, and it suits both neat sipping and a classic Old Fashioned.
