Cazulo Cashew Feni
Cazulo is South Goa’s premium feni house, run by the Vaz family at Fazenda Cazulo since 1982, old-style Goan feni double-distilled from freshly stomped cashew apple juice, the traditional method largely unchanged across generations. Cazulo has become one of the names most associated with feni’s recent rise in profile outside Goa, featured in Condé Nast Traveller and other national coverage as one of the state’s essential bottles to bring home. Cashew feni carries a Geographical Indication tag as a speciality alcoholic beverage of Goa. Traditionalists drink Cazulo neat to appreciate its full character; the more common way in is with a splash of lemon-lime soda and a wedge of lime.
