Hendricks Flora Adora Gin is a limited-edition release from Hendrick’s built around a bouquet of pollinator-friendly flowers, rose, lavender, hibiscus, violet and elderflower, laid over the brand’s usual cucumber and rose base. Juniper, coriander and citrus peel are still present but sit well behind the florals rather than leading them. It is one of the more floral gins in the category, closer to a perfumed garden than a classic juniper spirit. Buyers already familiar with Hendrick’s who want something more decoratively floral for a G&T or Martini reach for this one.
CHARACTER
Rose: The brand’s signature note, present from nose through finish
Lavender: Floods the palate alongside violet and elderflower
Violet: Part of the flower-forward entry on the palate
Elderflower: Bright floral note on the nose and palate
Cucumber: Hendrick’s signature freshness on the nose
Juniper: An earthy undertone beneath the florals on the palate
Black Pepper: A peppery sting through the finish
TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Fresh cucumber and rose petal lead, joined by bright florals of elderflower and violet with a hint of orange zest and juniper underneath.
PALATE- Lush and flower-forward, with lavender, violet and elderflower flooding the entry before an earthy, peppery layer of juniper comes through mid-palate.
FINISH- Moderately long and cooling, the floral perfume fading into a dry close with a soft, peppery sting.
