Vanaha Buransh Bagh
Vanaha Buransh Bagh is the newest expression from Revelry Distillery, following the base Vanaha Artisanal Forest Gin. Distilled at the Sattari distillery using the brand’s five-step process, copper pot distillation, vapour infusion and cold vacuum distillation, it’s built around Buransh, the wild Himalayan rhododendron, a rare, fleeting seasonal bloom the brand discovered in the forests of Uttarakhand and gathers by hand through a community of women who forage it by season. It’s the world’s first gin distilled with Buransh, a flower known in the Himalayas for a mildly tart, floral character. Founder Vaniitha Jaiin describes wanting the gin to carry “the landscape, the people, the emotion, the journey and the turning seasons” behind the flower. Serve it the way the base Vanaha is served, on the rocks or in a simple gin and tonic, to let the botanical speak for itself.
