Ron De Ugar is a handcrafted Indian rum made from a blend of five different sugarcane varieties, aged in oak-wood barrels to develop real character beyond the raw cane spirit. The nose carries sweet vanilla alongside caramelised brown sugar and toasted oak, opening into a toffee-forward palate with a delicate sweetness and a fresh, grassy lift underneath. The finish is long and smooth, carrying the cane spirit’s own character through to the end rather than fading quickly. It’s versatile enough for both neat sipping, where the vanilla and toffee notes get room to develop, and mixing, where its lighter grassy character works well against ginger beer or a simple soda.
