Mount Gay Eclipse is a Barbados rum from Mount Gay, whose deed dates to 1703, making it the world’s oldest commercial rum distillery still in operation. It’s distilled from molasses, double distilled, and aged up to two years in white Kentucky oak ex-bourbon barrels. Named for the 1910 solar eclipse that coincided with the passage of Halley’s Comet, it suits someone who wants an accessible, classic Barbados rum for mixing or sipping.
