El Último Agave Cafe is not a flavoured tequila but a coffee liqueur built on a 100% blanco tequila base (NOM 1522), produced at the Hacienda de Oro distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, the same NOM and location behind the wider El Último Agave range, currently under master distiller Iliana Partida. It’s made from Arabica and Robusta coffee beans combined with pure cane sugar, for a smooth and complex flavor built over its tequila base. Because the coffee and sugar are added after distillation, this genuinely sits in the liqueur category rather than the straight tequila category, even though its base spirit is real blanco tequila.
