Brunello di Montalcino from Bonacchi is made entirely from Sangiovese Grosso, the local Montalcino clone of Sangiovese, grown around the medieval hill town of Montalcino in southern Tuscany. Bonacchi (also known as Podere Bonacchi/Cantine Bonacchi) is a family-run Tuscan producer with holdings across several of the region’s top appellations. Brunello di Montalcino DOCG requires a minimum of five years’ ageing before release, at least two of them in oak, making it one of Italy’s longest-aged mainstream red wine styles.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Intense and clean, spicy notes reminiscent of berry jam and pleasant shades of vanilla, with a buttery scent, cherry, cranberry and blackberry with baking spice and sage.
PALATE- Majestic, round and velvety bodied with a dense, enveloping tannic structure, red fruit dominant with herbal notes and tobacco.
FINISH- Excellent persistence, a long, earthy finish with a hint of leather.
