Luxardo Maraschino Originale is still made to Girolamo Luxardo’s original 1821 formula, distilled from marasca cherries infused with their own leaves and branches in larch-wood vats for up to three years. The infusion is distilled in traditional copper pot stills, with only the heart of the distillate matured in ash-wood vats before a touch of simple syrup brings it to 32% ABV. It’s still hand-wrapped in straw inside its distinctive tall green bottle, a packaging method the Luxardo family adopted generations ago to protect it in transit.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- True marasca cherry distillate character, strong alcohol spirit balanced by a roasted nuttiness.
PALATE- Smooth but sharp, cherry-driven and clean.
FINISH- Lingering hints of dark chocolate, vanilla and orange marmalade.
