Rampur Asava Single Malt Whiskey comes from the Rampur distillery in Uttar Pradesh, matured first in American bourbon barrels and finished in Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks. That red wine cask finish is what gives Asava its fruit forward character and sets it apart from Rampur’s other single malt expressions. It’s one of India’s better known single malts on the international market, built to show what an Indian base spirit and a local wine cask finish can do together.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Tropical fruit opens things up, with apricot, blackberry and plum, followed by a faint hint of tobacco and spice.
PALATE- Velvety manuka honey meets spicy oak and vanilla, balanced by the dryness of the Cabernet Sauvignon cask finish.
FINISH- A medium, generous finish that carries the wine cask’s dry, fruity trail through to the end.
