Bowmore 15 YO is an Islay single malt matured in a mix of American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak Oloroso sherry casks, then finished for its final years in sherry-seasoned oak. That sherry influence pushes dark chocolate, dried fruit and warm spice to the front, with Bowmore’s house peat character kept gentle rather than dominant. It gives Islay smoke to someone who wants it in the background rather than leading the glass.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE- Dark chocolate and dried fruit meet warm cinnamon spice and a soft trace of smoke.
PALATE- Treacle toffee and oak sit against liquorice and clove spice.
FINISH- Sweet spice and a last trace of smoke fade into a wooded close.
